Alluvial Mining Equipments

Gravel Pumps

In the medium scale alluvial mining, the gravel pump is used to pump slurry (mixture of water and sand/gravel) to strip overburden or to send pay gravel slurry to the recovery system such as sluice box or jig.

The gravel pumps are made in various sizes:

  • Gravel pumps used for open pit mining: 6 and 8-inch sizes
  • Gravel pumps used for dredging: 10, 12 and 14-inch sizes

The gravel pump for dredging is made simple but effective, so it can be repaired in the field, reducing the down-time to minimum. Only one type is available:
